Thoracentesis
- A diagnostic procedure in which a needle is inserted into the chest, withdrawing fluid from the pleural cavity.

Thoracoscopy
- A tissue sample procedure in which a thorascope is inserted into the chest wall, providing a view of the tumor, which the physician then samples and biopsies.

Thrombocytopenia
- Reduced platelet count which occurs when the body is unable to replace blood platelets at the rate they are lost.

Tissue
- Any group of cells that perform a specific task or functions.

TLV (threshold limit value)
- A concentration of hazardous substances in the air to which humans can be repeatedly exposed without suffering damage to their health.

- A gene that can either encourage cell death or halt its growth, reducing the potential of the cell's growth into cancer.
