Abstract:

OSHA has determined that Alaska State standards for non-asbestiform minerals, asbestos in general industry, and for Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories are at least as effective as the comparable Federal standards, and that the standards are substantially identical. They are approved; however, the right to reconsider the approval is reserved should substantial objections be submitted to the Assistant Secretary. The State''s asbestos standard for construction is identical to the Federal standard and is approved. Decision effective 900205.
