Abstract:On June 20, 1986, OSHA published revised standards governingoccupational exposure to asbestos, tremolite, anthophyllite andactinolite in general industry and construction reducing the 8-hourTWA PEL to 0.2 f/cc and establishing other protective provisions.OSHA promulgated an excursion limit limit as 1 f/cc averaged over a30- minute sampling period which was published as an amendment onSeptember 14, 1988 (53:35610). Now, OMB has approved the collectionof information requirements as they apply to the excursion limit.
