Welcome to the Asbestos and Mesothelioma page of the James F. Humphreys and Associates website. Im Jim Humphreys and I've represented the victims of asbestos disease for more than 15 years. We've helped families who've been devastated by the deadly effects of asbestos exposure. Asbestos causes mesothelioma, lung cancer, asbestosis, which is the destruction of the lung, and plaques or calcifications on or surrounding the lung, as well as other forms of cancer.

Asbestos is found in a number of commercial products. The dust from asbestos, even at low, invisible levels, can cause diseases like mesothelioma or asbestosis. People who have worked a summer job using asbestos products, even spouses and the children of workers exposed to asbestos, have been known to develop the diseases. Most asbestos-related diseases take at least ten years from first exposure to develop. Mesothelioma, a horrible disease that leaves little hope for the future of its victims, is inevitably fatal.
