Video Transcript

Hello. My name is David McMorris, and like many of my partners here at Thornton and Naumes, I have represented victims of asbestos disease for over 20 years. We have helped thousands of families who have been devastated by the deadly effects of this poison dust. Many of our clients have suffered with mesothelioma, a rare and deadly form of cancer of the lung lining caused almost exclusively by asbestos.

This asbestos is found in many commercial products manufactured through the 1970's and still present in our everyday lives today. It was used in pipe and boiler insulation, break linings, joint compounds and sheetrock, soundproofing, protective clothing, floor and ceiling tile, and many other common products.

Asbestos dust at invisible levels can cause disease, even in short term and seemingly low exposure levels. People who have worked a summer job using asbestos products, and wives who have laundered the work clothes of their husbands, have been known to contract the disease.

Most asbestos related diseases develop at least twenty years from first exposure and are best treated if detected early. We work with the nation's leading medical and industrial hygiene experts to develop our clients cases and to recover money to help them rebuild their lives.
